Loren Geeting

The winner of BBC's International singing competition in 2002, The Voice of Musical Theatre, Loren recently finished filming Tim Burton's latest film, Sweeney Todd (starring Jonny Depp), as well as recording a new version of West Side Story for Universal. He can also be heard on the recent film soundtracks for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, and The Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy. He also recently received rave reviews for performing the role of Rodney in Opera North's stunning new production of Kurt Weill's One Touch of Venus (Sadler's Wells and Ravenna Opera, Italy), having created the part. Immediately thereafter, he performed the role of Dean Martin in the West End hit, The Rat Pack, Live From Las Vegas (Savoy), and Danilo in Carl Rosa's production of The Merry Widow.

Last year he created the role of Dexter in the new West End hit, Beautiful and Damned (Shaftesbury). Since coming to this end of the pond Loren has also played such roles as Gaston in Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Dominion Theatre), Enjolras in Les Miserables (UK tour), Boone in Whistle Down The Wind (Strand), the title role in Phantom Der Oper (German National Tour), created the title role in the new musical Courtenay, Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus for Rome Festival Opera, and opposite Janie Dee in the European Premier of Shostakovich's Paradise Moscow for Opera North. Before studying at the Royal College of Music in London, he played such roles as Jesus in Godspell, Abe in Barnum, The Prince/Wolf in Into The Woods (Twice!), and the title role in Ralph and His Amazing Wonder Llama, as well as shows such as Annie Get Your Gun, Chess, Big River, The Boyfriend, and Barnum (again). Loren recently toured the country with Ruthie Henshall performing in sellout concerts, as well as producing and acting as Emcee for his own concerts, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Baritones. He is also a very popular guest singer on BBC Radio2's Friday Night Is Music Night.

Loren is a Senior Manager in the Entertainment Department of the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel and is appearing in his first Musical Moments as a representative of that fine establishment.
