Musical Moments 2009
Musical Moments 2009 marks another milestone for Musical Moments series of concerts. We are very honoured and excited to return for the fifth consecutive year, supporting the Lifeline Express Charity. Once again our aim is to raise funds for the poor and needy people in remote parts of China and to bring sight and vision to them.Musical Moments is a musical extravaganza celebrating the timeless music of Broadway and the West End. From the 40's to the present day and from Rodgers & Hammerstein, Irving Berlin to Larson, QUEEN, Leonard Bernstein, Steve Margoshes, Benny Andersson & Bjorn Kristian, and Andrew Lloyd Webber!
Featuring hits from the Sound of Music, West Side Story, We Will Rock You, Les Miserables, Chess, Phantom of the Opera, Whistle Down the Wind, Mamma Mia, Fame, Rat Pack, Spamalot, Snow, Wolf, Lake and many more.

Joanna Ampil
Joanna is currently performing in Avenue Q at the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End, and has had one of most prolific musical theatre careers in the industry. She starred in the role of Kim in Miss Saigonat the age of 17. She played both the role of Eponine and Fantine in Les Miserables, Maria in West Side Story, Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar, Mimi in Rent, Sheila Franklin in HAIR, Jasmine in Aladdin and many other title roles. She recorded the orchestral sound track of Miss Saigon as well as Jesus Christ Superstar. She performed in a special edition of Les Miserables at Winsdor Castle for the Queen, the Royal Family, PM Tony Blair and President Jacques Chirac of France in 2004.
Loren Geeting
Loren is a most versatile performer on stage and screen, having played many major roles including the role of Dean Martin in the West End hit The Rat Pack, and Danilo in Carl Rosa's production of The Merry Widow , as Gaston in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Enjolras in Les Miserables, Boone in Whistle Down The Wind, the title role in Phantom Der Opera (German National Tour), Other roles he played includes Jesus in Godspell and Abe in Barnum. Loren recently finished filming Tim Burton's latest film, Sweeney Todd (starring Johnny Depp), as well as recording a new version of West Side Story for Universal. He can also be heard on the recent film soundtracks for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. He is also a very popular guest singer on BBC Radio2's Friday Night Is Music Night.
Tomos Griffins
Tomos is one of the world's most sought-after vocalists, having performed in more than 40 countries around the world. Tomos was born in Australia and trained as a classical tenor. An original member of the Australian Opera Childrens Chorus where he performed in productions of Carmen, Turandot, Die Meistersingers Von Nuremburg and Fiddler on The Roof. From here. Tomos has worked with Marius Devries, on Baz Lurhman's Moulin Rouge soundtrack. His musical roles included The Russian in the Oslo tour of Chess, "The Phantom Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre London. Tomos is currently the Creative Director at the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel and is thrilled to be able to perform in his first Musical Moments.
Li-Tong Hsu
Li-Tong started her musical career in Holland appearing as the lead vocalist, including Cats, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Rocky Horror Show, Closer Than Ever and Fame. She made her debut in the West End in The King and I. She was one of the lead singers in four past productions of Musical Moments, performing with West End stars and local artists in Hong Kong. Li-Tong has had the privilege of performing for Colin Powell and performing with Filipino pop idol Piolo Pascual in Tagalo. Li-Tong's film career includes the feature films Milk & Fashion and Kung Fu Killer starring David Carradine and Daryl Hannah and Distance Runners. Li-Tong also hosted the TV program Adventure Girls. Li-Tong holds a BA in the fields of Musical Theatre, Voice, Acting and Dance, and speaks five languages
Jessica Lee
After years of working in film, television, and on stage in her native Canada as well as the United States, Jessica is delighted to be returning to the Hong Kong performing arts scene. Select Film/Television credits: One Last Dance, The Nature of Nicholas, Romeo!, The Dead Zone, Da Vinci's Inquest, 24/7, Terminal City, Blade: The Series, Kaya, and Eureka. Select Theatre credits: Fame - The Musical, West Side Story, and productions A Hunnyrrific Day and Friends Forever by Disney. Howard McCrary
Multi-talented Howard McCrary has built a solid reputation as an award-winning singer, performer, songwriter, producer and actor. An Emmy Award nominee, he has worked with top names such as Michael Jackson, Chaka Khan, Earth Wind & Fire, Quincy Jones, Bette Midler, Nina Simone, Diana Ross, Huey Lewis & The News, and Jim and Tammy Faye Baker. Howard is the musical director for Musical Moments.
Robert Vicencio
One of the leading roles in the smash hit musical Miss Saigon, Robert Vicencio reprised the role of General Thuy, playing in 10 cities all over the world. Robert stared in the movies Jesus Christ Superstar, Arachnid and Marco Polo. As a director producer, he was involved in National Geographic's documentary on Admiral Zheng and the Legacy of China, and recently directed his first full-length feature film, Distance Runners. Robert has directed and starred in a successful run of Musical Moments Concerts in Hong Kong. Robert is now hosting his very own TV Show called Everlasting Favorites on ICS, Shanghai's first International English Channel.
Marsha Yuan
Marsha was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She represented Hong Kong and China in the Miss World pageant 1999, has made numerous TV appearances and participated in many theatre productions. She has released a mandarin/ jazz album and has starred in lead roles in movies including Sex and Love, The Snake Charmer, Men Suddenly in Black, Long Hu Ying Xiong and guest-starred an Italian production called The Counting House. She has also been in action fighting movies such as Undiscovered Tomb, Around the World in 80 Days, Xhiao Nien Chen Zhen and Men Suddenly in Black 2. This is the fifth successive year that Marsha has participated in Musical Moments.
David Quah - Producer
After performing in all previous Musical Moments concert brilliantly, David is taking on an even more important role of producing the concert and writing all the arrangements with Howard McCrary.
